Controlling and Managing Hardware Systems
This application reads the hardware configuration from a database. This allows checking the actual hardware configuration with the intended one. The user may define scheduled actions (for instance, a timer to start or stop devices) and constraints (for instance, a maximum allowed setting). The program may communicate with hardware systems through communication protocols. It may also display overviews showing the current state of the devices and management overviews with average and peak values.
Some example projects:
-
Control and manage air-conditioning equipment.
The hardware system consists of a collection of outdoor units connected with indoor units. The program communicates with dispatchers, which in turn communicate with the indoor and outdoor units. These dispatchers accept device settings and send device status information.
The interactive user interface offers direct operator interventions and allows to program automatic functions (timers, holiday periods, ...etc). It also produces several management overviews, such as energy consumption, spreading of room and set temperature values, accumulated operation hours and service actions.
The software also communicates with BMS (Building Management Systems) using different communication protocols (MODBUS, LONWORKS and others) -
Remote control and management of an air-conditioning configuration
A companion program of the one explained above supports a remote (modem or TCP/IP) connection to a site. It communicates with the program on site and offers the same functions and user interface. This allows a user (e.g. your distributor) to call a site and interact with the devices if necessary.
