E2S participates in national and international research projects to develop methods, techniques and tools supporting its software services and product development. We constantly seek to increase our productivity and the efficiency of our approach but also look for improvements of the quality of our results.

Our most recent research projects are Elevate and AGILE:

• The Elevate project develops a hybrid training and certification environmemt for the development of a sophisticated e-learning environment, supporting the trainee to reach specific training goals and to build up specific knowledge about a software application.


• The Agile project investigates how to realize projects in a close cooperation with customers with the purpose of considerably improving the productivity, using agile techniques such as extreme programming. This project focuses on embedded systems, as the reliability and security requirements for such systems are quite high. Within the context of this European ITEA project, in cooperation with IWT, E2S works together with Barco and K.U.Leuven. The goal is to realize a project by designing models and scenarios that should lead automatically to their realization through generation.
  
  

  In October 2007, the Agile project received the ITEA2 silver achievement award, which was handed over during the ITEA2 symposium in Berlin.
